hey guys, I just wanted to talk about getting the little ones outside and exploring. I think there's a big stigma around getting the kids outdoors, and thinking that it has to be a big event with lots of planning, time and effort. There are definitely those trips when planning and lots of time are involved, but it doesn't always have to be that way.
In any community there are so many opportunities to get outside and enjoy what's around us. In our community we have the ability to walk to plenty of parks, splash pads, community farms, hiking trails, and so many other things. Don't forever about just a simple walk around the block, anytime you're getting out of the house and spending unplugged time together is really strengthing those family bonds.
our little guy is OBSESSED with bikes right now. Like, anything he sees with any kind of wheel is a "bah!". we got him a little push trike recently and he is in love! Every evening his whole world is made when I ask him if he wants to go ride his bike. He giggles and squeels all the way out the door to his bike, and we literally just walk in circles. For him it is the greatest thing ever! He doesn't see it as a monotonous game of walking in circles, he sees it as an exciting way of getting out of the house and exploring the neighborhood while we talk about what we see.
Getting outside doesn't have have to be a big thing.
"We have been so amazed at how easy it's been to get our little guy out with us on our adventures. I understand though that I have only have one little guy, and many super moms and dads have more."
